Melodia este interpretata de grupul belgian After All  insa originalul apartine lui  Wilson Pickett care a cantat-o pentru prima oara in 1962  iar in 1964 Frankie Miller a facut cover.

“If You Need Me” a devenit in 1962 unul dintre cele mai mari hituri,  detinand locul 2 in  top “Hit 100″ si  locul 37 in top “R&B”. Pickett declara ca a trimis un demo la casa de inregistrari “Atlantic”  care insa il abandonase printre alte piese. “Atunci am plans pentru prima oara in viata mea” declara Pickett frant de durere. Ulterior a scos un LP cu ajutorul reverendului Solomon Burke care a spart piata muzicala.
